Weekly Update 4/8

Hello KA Parents,

I hope you all had a wonderful Easter and spring break with your family.  It is hard to believe it is already April.  The next few months will zoom by!  I love stopping to reflect how far the kindergarteners have come since the beginning of the school year.  They have grown so much, in so many ways.

This week we will be focusing on the letters Gg and Ww and the new sight words “he” and “she”.  In math, we will be spending more time reviewing subtraction this week. In science, we will begin a multi-week unit about plants, which will include planting and growing seeds in class!

If you still haven’t turned in the permission slip for our fire station field trip, please send it in tomorrow.  If you need another copy, please let me know.

As always, if you have any questions or concerns please let me know!
Thank you,

White, Katie

Mrs. White is so excited for another great year in KA! She has been at SMM since 2014, and has been teaching in Catholic schools since 2002. Over the years, Mrs. White has taught many grade levels and subjects, but kindergarten is her absolute favorite! She loves being part of the early learning process and seeing the amazing connections that kindergarteners make every day. Mrs. White graduated with a BA in education and history from CWU (go Wildcats!) and earned a M.Ed. from Seattle U (go Redhawks!) She lives in Everett with her husband and two sons. Some of Mrs. White's favorites, in no particular order: Dogs, Chocolate, Hiking, Books, and Snow!
