Hello KA parents,
Tomorrow (Wednesday) is the Art Walk and Variety Show from 6-8 pm. I hope to see you there! Please make sure to enjoy our KA artwork on display in the kindergarten hallway and the parish hall. Our Mary Shrines are also on the tables near the office. Our ABC countdown is in full swing in kindergarten and we are getting closer to summer! The students are having a lot of fun earning their special ABC activities every day. Next week in reading, we will continue reviewing all of our letters and working on digraphs. These are the sounds made by combining two consonants together (th, ch, ph, sh, wh). We will be reviewing all of our sight words, and continue working on sounding out new words. In math, we are working on time and money. In social studies, we will be learning about Memorial Day. We are also preparing for our end of the year brunch presentation and assembly, by learning our songs and poems.
Last week’s homework (due Friday) includes a parent survey and a student survey. Thank you for taking a few minutes to fill this out. It helps reflect on the year with this class, as well as guide my planning for the coming year in kindergarten.

*Important Reminders:
- With the warm weather, and our warm classroom, it is very important that students have a refillable water bottle to drink from in the classroom every day! Please make sure to send one!
- Also, please make sure to label all uniform sweatshirts and vest with your student’s name!
Save the dates!
Thursday June 14th– 11:00 am- KA celebration brunch: this will be a special day with songs, student presentations, awards, and brunch! Please plan on attending this special brunch in our class! We want to make sure each student has at least one special parent or family member in attendance. Please let Mrs. White know how many family members will attend, so we can plan for enough chairs, etc. As this event gets closer, I will ask parents sign up to bring food items for the brunch.
Friday June 15th– 9:30 am- End of year prayer service: this assembly in the church will feature special prayers and songs sung by the students of KA and KB.
