Weekly Update 6/14

Hello KA Families,

I can’t believe we are down to the last few days of kindergarten!  It has been such a joy to share the past year with your children.  They have grown so much, in academics and also in independence and confidence.  As they are preparing their songs and readings for next week, it is evident that the students are so ready for first grade!

Today you probably noticed that your child came home with a lot of things!  The students’ art portfolios were sent home today, along with some extra art supplies to enjoy at home over the summer.  Mrs. Mallahan also gave each student an older book to keep that was being removed from the school library.  They were all so excited!

Tomorrow (Friday) the students will have “eXercise” day!  Mrs. B and her seventh grade helpers will be leading the students in a fun afternoon field day.  Please make sure your student has a water bottle tomorrow!  We will also see our sixth grade reading buddies for the last time tomorrow morning during reading.

Monday June 17th : KA End of Year Celebration at 1:30 pm. This will be our classroom “graduation” ceremony with student presentation, awards, slideshow and treats. Thank you to everyone for signing up to bring treats for our special day!  This is a free dress day, but I would encourage to wear something a little nice (or wear their uniform).

Tuesday June 18th : Last day of school prayer service at 11:00 am, led by KA and KB.  (school is dismissed at 12:00). The kindergarten classes will lead the school prayer service with songs and prayer.  This is a “dress up day” and students should wear nice dressy clothes (or wear their uniform.)  *This prayer service assembly has been moved to the parish hall. We will have seats reserved for kindergarten parents.*

If you have any questions or concerns, please let me know!  Thank you,

Some of Mrs. White's favorites, in no particular order: Dogs, Chocolate, Hiking, Books, and Snow!
